Lost in Asheville? How did that happen and why is my Tom Tom not coming up with this address? These were all items flying through my head as I was heading to Asheville for a meeting with some local photographers. I have decided that I need to get to know the area better. I am one of these people that knows how to get to the places that are important (to me) like the grocery store, mall, YMCA, doctors....but easily get lost or turned around. I contribute it to the windy roads. Yes, that has been my excuse for about 5 years now! I know, laugh all you want. I was raised on straight roads, that squared up every mile, back in Illinois. However, last night I decided it was time! Yes, after about 5 years in North Carolina, I am going to learn the roads and attempt to get from point A to B without my little buddy Tom Tom (it is a GPS system). I am here in North Carolina to stay and have no other choice but to learn where I am going! So, if you see me on the side of the road looking for street signs, or asking someone for directions, you will know my situation. Just honk and wave! :)
My reason for going to Asheville last night was for a PUGS meeting and dinner. Some great photographers were there such as Regina Holder, Honour Mann, and Katy Cook. It was great to hear other photographers ideas and see their work! It was an inspiring evening! :)
I will have some photos posted up this evening of a session (if we don't get rained out). Have a great day everyone!
