Some days I realize how blessed I really am! I really realized it this weekend! My parents, my brother and his girlfriend, and my aunt all came out to see me run the marathon. Yes, they might have only seen me run past them once, but they still came out to fight the crowd and see me run. There were some 33,000 runners and about 1.5 million in the crowd. It was an amazing experience! I also want to thank my wonderful husband for his love and support, for not only the race, but for the support this whole time while I was training! I never completed a long run without him biking next to me and singing to me "Guns and Roses" songs! (I think I miss training already). Well, I still have a ton of unpacking to do from the past few weekends of travel! Be on the lookout for more photos!

Another view from our room! I miss flat Illinois! Haha!

At the marathon expo, they had a VW Bug that we all could write on!
Getting ready for the race......boy was I nervous/excited! :) This photo might have been taken at a nervous moment!

Find Cristen....where am I?? Hint: I have a blue shirt on with green tape and am waving at my hubby!

Cristen! Did you run in the 2009 Chicago Half Marathon??? My daughter-in-law did too!! They drove up from Clarksville, TN (our son is stationed at Ft. Campbell, KY just across the TN/KY state border). Last October she ran in the Marine Corps marathon and this year has followed that up with the Nashville Marathon, the Chicago half and the Evansville, IL half. How funny that you were both running in Chicago!!!! They loved it!! Pretty cool coincidence. She is planning on running the Disney Marathon in Orlando in January. ") Enjoying your albums, blogs and personals! Love the trails on your property and am going to show them to Bob! I want some too!!! -Judy Turner RE: Turner Engagement
