Friday evening I did some of the last of my Christmas shopping. I look at everyone's carts and they are all filled and full of bright and shiny toys! I love the season of giving! Chris and I were sitting at that table today and talking about who we can give to this year for Christmas. We really wanted to give to someone we knew would really need it. Not even for toys, but just need a little something to get them through they everyday cost of life. Then I remembered reading about Tonya. She is from around this area.
"Tonya Norman's 21 year old sister was killed in a single car wreck last week. Also involved in the wreck were Tonya’s niece and nephew (ages 1 and 2). They were air-lifted to CMC Medical Center in Charlotte. Both are home now, and in Tonya’s care. Tonya has 2 children of her own (ages 4 and 8). So, in the blink of an eye, Tonya lost her sister and is now a single mother to 4 children. "
I pray for this family daily. That they will get through this tough time, and that others will be generous this season to help out this family, and to not forget about them and their needs as the year goes on!
Please pray for this family and if you can give anything at all, I know it would be very appreciated. You can contact either myself, or Broughton Hospital (her employer) to receive the information on how to donate! Tis the season for giving.....
